Job Purpose:
The Production Section Head will be responsible for supervising and managing all production operations within their assigned Shift. The role ensures that products are manufactured according to quality standards, specifications, and safety procedures while driving continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. This position requires strong leadership, coordination with cross-functional departments, and the ability to solve production challenges proactively.

Main Accountabilities:
• Supervise and monitor production operations in alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with product quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure full adherence to safety, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) throughout all stages of production.
• Review production variance reports, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze sources of problems impacting product quality, efficiency, and losses, and develop structured action plans to address them.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance, efficiency, and product quality.
• Identify, suggest, and validate solutions to minimize production losses (e.g., format/packaging changes, packaging problems, cleaning downtime)
• Effectively organize and allocate available labor resources in line with labor standards to ensure optimal workforce utilization.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team on machine setup, repair, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure smooth production operations.
• Work closely with the warehouse team on finished product handling, reporting, and related logistics.
• Collaborate with the Quality Laboratory on issues concerning raw materials, packaging materials, and finished product quality.
• Solve operational issues and ensure continuity of production during the assigned shift.
• Monitor and control production inputs (raw materials) and outputs (finished goods) to meet production targets.
• Lead, supervise, and guide production staff and laborers to achieve departmental objectives.
• Accurately record and verify production data in factory systems (SAP, downtime reports, production orders) for the respective shift.
• Ensure timely communication of production performance, challenges, and results to the Production Manager and relevant stakeholders.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• 1-3 Years of proven experience  in a manufacturing environment (preferably FMCG or food industry).

• Strong knowledge of production systems, quality management, safety standards, and GMP.

• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.

• Six Sigma certification is preferred.

• Strong awareness of Lean Manufacturing tools required.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
