CONTEXT
We are looking for a talented collaborator to join the supply chain team based in Braine-l'Alleud (+/- 30 km from Brussels).
MISSIONS
As demand planner your main responsibilities will be :
- Coordinate local forecasting process, co build short, mid-term and longterm demand plan with Sales & Marketing teams
- Propose demand plan based on statistical analysis (considering market trends, customers vision, expected exceptional, guidelines issued from previous S&OP cycles)
- Perform gap analysis versus budget, month M-1, previous year both in volume and value
- Prepare Sales and Marketing forecasting meetings document including key assumptions and risks & opps
- Facilitate forecasting meetings with BU Sales and Marketing teams
- Collect information from Marketing on new products Phase In, discontinued products Phase Out process (short term vision)
- Update short, mid and long-term Demand Plan in JDA according to forecasting meetings and S&OP+ discussions and decisions
- Perform forecast accuracy analysis, identify improvement & action plan
- Ensure the Supply feasibility of the forecast planning on short term horizon
- Alert on overstock or low stock on short and mid-term for his/her brand
- Take action with factory to react on stock issue
As Demand planer you’ll also have to be proactive and propose improvements of actual demand process:
- Develop tools & reports, and support team in optimizing supply chain performance for the Business Unit
- Engage internal & external stakeholders on continuous improvement project
YOUR PROFILE
- You are organized, result oriented, with an entrepreneurial spirit and are a real team-player
- Fluent in French, good knowledge of English, Dutch not mandatory but appreciated
- Master’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent by experience
- At least 3 years of experience as Demand planner (FMCG is a plus)
Required skills for the job:
- High analytic capabilities
- Forecasting tool experience (JDA is a plus)
- Excel advanced skills (a test could be performed during interviews)
- Proficient in Pack office: Excel, Word, Power Point
- Knowledge about local market: distributors, products, channels, market insights
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Supply chain APICS’ certification is a plus
