Job Description Summary

As a Brand Innovation Summer Intern at GoGo squeeZ, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the future growth of one of the leading snack brands in the U.S. Over the course of the summer, you will partner with the Innovation team to help identify new growth opportunities beyond the core pouch business. This role will focus on high-impact strategic projects across emerging consumer trends, new product white spaces, and innovation opportunities that can help shape the future GoGo squeeZ pipeline. You will work cross-functionally with Insights, Marketing, Design, Packaging, and Regulatory teams while building foundational skills in brand strategy, innovation, and consumer-centric thinking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Veggie On-the-Go Opportunity Assessment

  • Assess the current veggie snacking landscape across pouches, crisps, smoothies, bites, and adjacent formats
  • Map key competitors, claims, formats, flavors, price points, and target consumers
  • Identify consumer needs and occasions for veggie snacking (family snacking, wellness, convenience, etc.).
  • Highlight whitespace opportunities where the brand can credibly win
  • Develop 3–5 early-stage innovation territories or concept ideas

Learning Outcome:

  • Develop an understanding of market research and strategy by exploring new opportunities for GoGo squeeZ in the veggie-forward portable snacking category.

Gen Z Fiber & Functional Snacking Opportunity Assessment

  • Explore Gen Z attitudes toward fiber, gut health, satiety, and overall better-for-you snacking
  • Review market trends across fiber snacks, bars, gummies, beverages, and functional foods
  • Identify winning product benefits, claims, and language that resonate with Gen Z consumers
  • Assess where GoGo has the right to play versus where the brand should avoid competing
  • Recommend 3–5 innovation territories for future GoGo fiber-forward products

Learning Outcome:

  • Build foundational skills in consumer research by exploring Gen Z perspectives on functional snacking. Gain experience analyzing gut health and fiber trends, and learn how to identify opportunities for GoGo squeeZ in this space.

  • Previous internship or club experience in marketing is a plus.
  • Demonstrated results-focused mindset, with specific examples of achieving goals.
  • Strong skills in strategic thinking, creativity, planning, organization, problem-solving, and analysis.
  • Genuine passion for understanding consumer behavior and building brands.
