Job Summary:

The Industrial Performance (IP) Manager is a pivotal role responsible for leading cross-functional improvement projects to enhance factory efficiency in alignment with Bel Manufacturing Model (BMM) standards. This position oversees the implementation of the factory's Operational Excellence Road Map, focusing on maximizing efficiency, reducing losses, and fostering employee involvement at all levels. The IP Manager ensures compliance with management processes and BMM standards while driving behavioral change through training and coaching. Additionally, this role is tasked with inventory management, performance reporting, and supporting managerial processes, maintaining a presence on the production floor to provide real-time feedback. Working closely with the Platform Industrial Performance Director and other BEL plants, the IP Manager coordinates improvement initiatives and shares best practices.

 

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

· Operational Improvement/Support

o Ensure full implementation of basic manufacturing requirements from BMM, focusing on performance measurement and management.

o Promote the BMM approach across all hierarchical levels and coordinate factory pillars with focus on Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), and Focused Improvement (FI).

o Lead and support improvement tools and methodologies like Complexity, Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB), and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).

o Ensure the factory impacts the supply chain performance optimally, achieving the lowest total delivered cost.

o Support the use of manufacturing system tools for performance KPIs tracking and integrating improvements into a three-year roadmap.

· Change and Improvement Management

o Develop and oversee a three-year Productivity Masterplan to reach the factory's "Ideal state" for performance, process, and change management improvements.

o Identify performance gaps using benchmarking, create urgency for improvements, and lead or support transformation projects applying Continuous Improvement and BMM principles.

o Implement and monitor BMM standards, ensuring they positively impact safety, quality, service, environment, and cost, involving employees actively.

o Lead industrial performance steering committees and communicate BMM standard implementation effectively.

· Knowledge Management and People Development Support

o Promote information exchange and best practices using BMM standards and through benchmarking.

o Ensure training on Continuous Improvement methods and Industrial Performance methodologies.

o Contribute to the evolution of BMM standards and best practices and participate in Group Industrial Performance workshops and calls for knowledge sharing.

· Problem Solving and Analysis

o Apply analytical skills and Six Sigma techniques for efficient problem resolution.

o Benchmark to identify and address performance issues, translating insights into actionable plans.

o Maintain motivation to tackle long-term challenges.

· Budget/Financial Management

o Oversee budgets for improvement projects, ensuring cost-effective operations.

o Prepare business cases for capital investments and conduct P&L reviews to manage variances.

o Implement cost-reduction measures.

· Leadership and Communication

o Promote operational excellence through effective communication and leadership.

o Guide behavioral change and communicate BMM goals.

o Influence with a non-hierarchical, change-agent approach and share best practices across plants.

o Ensure clear communication of strategies at all organizational levels

· Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.

· Follows all Safety Rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.

· Follow all food safety procedures.

· Follow all sanitation procedures and work instructions.

· Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to job to prevent pollution to air, land, or water.

· Follows all continuous improvement actions and rules and best practices.

· All other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field. (Experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

· Possession of a Six Sigma Green Belt certification or the ability to obtain it within one year.

Experience:

· Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience in Food Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement highly preferred.

 

Preferred Skills:

· Expertise in Project Management, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

· Proven experience with Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement processes.

· Proficiency in Strategic Planning to drive long-term business success.

· Preferably experienced with Manufacturing Execution Systems to enhance operational efficiency.

· Skilled in developing and maintaining automated reports using advanced business analytics tools.

· A strong proficiency in utilizing Power Apps tools is highly preferred.

· Superior written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

· Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ensuring efficient task execution and documentation.

 

Physical & Travel Requirements

• Must be able work in normal office conditions for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

• Must be able lift up to 40 lbs.

• Must be able to travel intermittently via airplane within the U.S. and internationally. (Delete if no travel is needed for position.)

 

Working Conditions:

· Work is performed largely in an office/manufacturing environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Up to 10% travel will be required on an as needed basis.
