Job Description Summary

The RGM Manager is a HYBRID role (2 days in Chicago office) #LI-Hybrid responsible for is responsible for driving revenue generation strategies and initiatives that lead to optimized marketplace pricing, promotional effectiveness, and trade forecast accuracy.  This role requires strong cross functional alignment with sales, marketing, and finance.  The role serves as a trusted financial advisor to Sales strategy with the goal of improving profitability while maximizing topline results. 

 

This role reports to the Director of Sales Finance & RGM and is a direct member of the Bel Finance team with a supporting role to the Sales Strategy team. 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for revenue growth, working cross functionally to align on tactics and strategies.
  • Manage List Pricing:  Collaborate in setting and adjusting prices for products based on market demand, competition, and profitability targets. 
  • Produce P&Ls for Incremental Funding Requests and provide recommendations / influence optimization volume and/or variable profit.
  • Establish / maintain / track promotional guidelines (Rules of Trade) & execution: optimize promo return on investment through internal evaluation.  Lead analytics supporting Promotional effectiveness routines. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners to align on potential pricing moves with a constant lens on Brand & Customer strategies. 
  • Create / manage trade reporting that enables quick diagnosis of over- or under- spending; analyzes trade variances and supports Sales strategy’s issue resolution / risk management process.
  • Manage direct report (analyst) and tight linkage to TPM technical system support role ensuring trade management tool can effectively support the business. 

 

Financial Implications

  • Ability to combine / leverage both internal financial metrics with external consumption performance.
  • Understands composition of Customer/Brand P&Ls and corresponding volume, trade rate and variable profit drivers and the relation to BU/Brand strategy.
  • Strong working knowledge of various types of trade (i.e., on-invoice, scan, billback, slotting, etc.) as well as pricing strategies (i.e. EDLP, hi/lo, hybrid, pricing curve, etc.) the impact to the P&L.
  • Anticipates opportunities and risks of investment requests and price strategy.
  • Understands pricing and P&L metrics such as elasticity, ROI, incrementality, etc.
  • Expertise analyzing consumption data (Circana) to understand the best depth and frequency for most efficient use of trade funds.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience within Sales Finance, Revenue Management, Brand Finance, and/or FP&A
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food/beverage manufacturing or CPG industry
  • Cross functional business partner experience
  • Persuasive leader with the ability to clearly communicate expectations
  • Excellent communication skills; understands audience and adjusts communication to drive desired results
  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office; advance Excel, Power BI, SAP, TPM (Xtel), Circana experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Language skills:  proficient written and spoken English required
  • Ability to prioritize and lead through change

Working Conditions:  Work is performed largely in a HYBRID #LI-Hybrid office environment.  Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week.  At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.  Position requires up to 20% travel.
