Job Description Summary
The Marketing organization is responsible for developing the long-term strategy for the brand, building differentiated market positioning, developing superior brand mixes, as well as developing and executing integrated marketing plans. Specifically, brand management defines the brand’s pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotion strategies and is responsible for P&L management in delivering profit, volume and market share objectives. The Senior Associate Brand Manager will report directly to the Senior Brand Manager on the business and assist in managing the Babybel brand and its sub-lines.
The Senior Associate Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution and analysis of various business initiatives. This role will gain broad exposure to all functional activities on the brand’s business (including but not limited to Consumer Insights, New Products, Sales, Operations, and Finance). In this role, the SABM will lead consumption and be relied upon for analytical insights that help shape and develop business strategy in conjunction with the Sr. Brand Manager. Additionally, this role will manage communications projects with Bel’s agencies across advertising creative, media, PR, and consumer promotions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communications Planning and Execution: leads the integrated pan-agency comms planning process, working with agency partners to develop and execute breakthrough marketing programs.
- Business Management and Analysis: uses consumption/panel and shipment data, sales performance, and financial analysis, and market trends to understand key business metrics and competitive activity. Makes business recommendations based on key findings.
- Brand Strategy: translates brand strategy into channel-specific strategies and executions.
- Packaging: includes leading changes to base product and promotional packaging as needed.
- Program Evaluation: measures marketing program effectiveness with an ROI lens and makes optimization recommendations.
- Commercialization Management: leads innovation and renovation commercialization and launch; includes leading the project through the stage gate process, working with cross-functional partners, ensuring a successful launch, and performing post-launch analysis.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
- 4+ years of Brand Marketing experience (CPG preferred)

- Must have expertise in data analysis (Nielsen/IRI preferred); translating data into insights, demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and strategic thinking skills.

- Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) concisely and effectively within function and with cross-functional and agency partners.

Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.

Total Rewards:
Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
Bonus Potential: 20%
