Background and organization


The Brand Management organization is responsible for developing the long-term strategy for the brand, building differentiated market positioning, developing superior brand mixes, as well as developing and executing integrated marketing plans.  Specifically, brand management defines the brand’s pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotion strategies and is responsible for delivering its profit, volume and market share objectives. 

In this role, you will play an integral part in the 2022 turnaround effort for our Price*s pimento brand. You will report to the Brand Manager on the Local Brands business, supporting Local Brands (Kaukauna, Price*s, and Merkts) across several areas, including but not limited to: performance tracking and analysis, account specific marketing management, in-store promotion planning, product development, price/value renovation, market analysis, and PR/social media management for Price*s. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


You support and/or lead various Brand activities, including but not limited to:


- Marketing planning and execution: Key contact for specific agencies, leading execution of promotional/advertising plans with those agencies. In particular, you will lead the relationship with our shopper marketing agency to lead account specific marketing and in-store promotion planning and execution.

- U.S. Budget Ownership: Owns Brand budget, leading brand through budget management, ongoing internal financial exercises, ongoing LE planning, invoice payments, coupon redemption monitoring, accrual execution, and longer-term budget management planning

- Price*s Brand Ownership: Owns Price*s business with responsibility for day to day management, strategy, execution of specific Price*s initiatives (new pack support, turnaround performance analysis, product renovation, ect.), and ultimately delivery of Price*s business results.

- Program evaluation: measures effectiveness of marketing programs through return on investment analysis

- Business Analysis: Leads monthly business + category tracking and analysis

- Product development: Lead Price*s product renovation or innovation projects (importation / renovation / extension) in collaboration with the cross-functional team


Qualifications and Competencies


Minimum degree and experience required:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of operational marketing experience, preferably with a CPG

Specific competencies required:

- Must have expertise in analysis and demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and strategic thinking skills

- Must be an independent and proactive contributor that can demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and strategic thinking skills in changing and ambiguous situations

- Experience in utilizing and analyzing Nielsen/IRI data is preferred
