Job Description: 

Reporting to the Plant Industrial Performance Manager, he/she is responsible, within his/her scope, for sustaining and developing Bel’s continuous improvement approach by facilitating the BMM (Bel Manufacturing Model) to constantly improve SMQCDE (Safety, Management, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environment) performance.

 

 

Key Missions and Tasks

Strategy

  • In collaboration with the site Industrial Performance (PI) Manager, participates in establishing the strategic roadmap for the site and the improvement projects by department, ensuring coordination and follow-up for part of them.
  • Deploys the continuous improvement policy on the site in line with both site and Group strategy by coordinating the BMM pillars.
  • Contributes to setting up the tools and training necessary for this policy deployment, notably by rolling out key tools (5S, standards, visual management, problem solving, etc.).
  • Ensures consistency of SMQCDE KPIs on managed projects.
  • Leads the improvement of productivity, efficiency, and profitability of site operations by performing diagnostics and driving optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Feeds site-level communication regarding projects, progress in method deployment, and results.
  • Provides expertise through mastery of specific tools: leads and facilitates internal competitiveness networks.

 

Operational

  • Ensures the structuring and management of the practices under his/her responsibility: from practice to best practice to standard to improvement.
  • Makes sure that Group standards are properly applied.
  • Participates in structuring and deploying routines.
  • Conducts analysis projects to eradicate root causes.
  • Identifies sources of productivity/savings and leads task forces.
  • Proposes new standards to improve both site and Group practices and performance.
  • Participates in internal and external benchmarking campaigns.
  • Proposes process and organizational improvements.
  • Audits current practices and the site’s strategic plan with reference to the BMM.
  • May conduct, together with or under the authority of the site Industrial Performance Manager and in collaboration with peers at other sites, standardization and performance reviews.

 

Teams

  • Works closely with teams, particularly in the field (communication, support, coaching, etc.), ensuring proper understanding, mutual value (win/win), and buy-in for a sustainable approach.
  • Provides operational support for implementation (methodology, tools).
  • Trains teams on standards and improvement tools.
  • Supports and manages the suggestion system (ideas, solutions, etc.).
  • Guides personnel through change (communication, explanation, on-site presence, etc.).
  • Acts as a local reference point together with the site Industrial Performance Manager, promoting the “continuous improvement” culture across all site departments.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • General engineer with experience in performance improvement.
  • Significant experience (3 to 5 years) in production, maintenance, etc., gained ideally within leading industrial environments—ideally in the agri-food industry—providing strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, organizations, and associated flows.
  • Experience in facilitating continuous improvement processes, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Knowledge of standardization and improvement tools and approaches (5S, TPM, VSM, LEAN, KAIZEN, WCM, Best In Class, etc.).
  • Previous experience in an operational excellence system shaping a continuous improvement and excellence mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management methodology.
  • Strong experience with dashboards, KPIs, and visual management.
  • Excellent communication, real teaching skills, and capacity to unite teams.
  • Pragmatic, strong observational, analytical, and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Fluent in English.
