Attached to the Plant Director, as a member of the management team, you are responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring the safety policy for the Dole site. You ensure the proper functioning of the safety management system and more broadly the safety service, supporting colleagues in risk prevention approaches.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading and monitoring the safety committee/general action plan and ensuring that safety instructions and procedures are followed.
- Leading the annual update of the Single Document for Risk Assessment.
- Coordinating the safety training plan at all levels in collaboration with the HR department and increasing employee awareness (skill enhancement plans, methodology, tools, etc.).
- Serving as the main contact with local authorities and the group for safety matters.
- Updating the safety audit schedule, centralizing audit reports, and following up on required actions.
- Ensuring proper management of accidents (statistics, analysis, action plans, display).
- Being responsible for fire safety (verification/maintenance of equipment, fire-fighting device maintenance, training of intervention teams, signage/testing setup).
- As the safety reference for individuals, ensuring the plant's practices comply with legal/regulatory/internal standards (CARSAT contact, CSSCT management).
- Improving current practices in terms of individual safety (site safety master plan, training, etc.).
Your strengths:
- Holding a higher education degree of engineering level, with at least 5 years of managerial experience on an industrial site.
- Recognized for your knowledge of industrial environments and the constraints involved: teamwork, workstations, social relationship management, etc.
- Proficient in safety management techniques and methods. Technical aptitude. Proficiency in computer tools (Office suite) and English.
