Job Description Summary

The IT Specialist role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house data, industrial, and network services. The individual in this role will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all workstation and network hardware, servers, software, and communications for the Bel Brands USA facility located in Little Chute, WI. This individual is also responsible for providing technical assistance, training, and support to end-users, resolving issues in a timely and accurate fashion. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

IT Support/Manage Systems and Networks

· Support and maintain Infrastructure Technologies in the Little Chute plant according to group standards.

· Install and configure new PC hardware and software across various devices and peripherals.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, hardware, network, and software.

· Provide support to the Little Chute team, Respond to user inquiries and support requests via phone, email, messaging, or in-person.

· Provide education and training to coworkers on the technical aspects of new products and services, including troubleshooting techniques and best practices.

· Execute tasks and requests in respect of company SLA.

· Assist in the installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and management of desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, software, peripherals, telephony, and various custom toolsets used by BEL.

· Responsible for onboarding new hire computers & peripherals. Manage and maintain asset inventory on an on-going basis

 

Monitoring

· Monitor systems and network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.

· Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

 

Project Management

· Work on infrastructure changes and support Industrial IP.

· Manage projects to deliver results on time with a high level of quality.

· Take part in analysis, evaluation, and implementation of vendor supplied software and hardware products.

· Deploy/upgrade company LANs including routers/switches, servers, and other hardware.

 

Documentation

· Keep up-to-date diagrams of network and server topology.

· Create and maintain IT operational documents: instructions, guidelines, reference sheets, etc.

 

Communication

· Interface with vendors for contract support or warranty repairs.

· Interact with IS Project Manager and US plant engineering teams.

· Interact with Bel Group global IT Teams. Escalate and redirect issues beyond purview or expertise to next level.

 

· All other duties as assigned.

 

Safety, Environmental and Quality

· Follows all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.

· Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.

· Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.

· Follow all food safety procedures.

· Maintains a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.

· Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.

 

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

· 3+ years of experience required.

· Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience is prefferred.

· Prior experience working on Service Desk teams, Desktop Support and IT Operations.

· Experience with Active Directory, O365 and Azure environments, including Teams, Outlook, Office Apps, Windows Desktop Management (SCCM) and Endpoint Manager (Intune) a plus.

· Must be able to accurately and efficiently perform all job duties with a sense of urgency.

· Experience managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure with exposure to switches and access points.

· Strong knowledge of Windows computer systems, hardware, and software.

· Should have experience in technical areas: Networking Services, Cisco hardware, Meraki, Windows 11, Printer Support, VMWare, backup solutions (Cohesity), Microsoft servers, DHCP, DNS, GPO.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, IOS and Android OS

Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an office environment and in the manufacturing plant and warehouses. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Must be able to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
