Purpose
The industrialization project manager implements and supports projects related to innovation and the evolution of the production system.
They are responsible for the qualifications, development of new products, formats, and technological advancements.
Their role serves as the interface between internal services (production, maintenance, quality, purchasing, logistics, planning...) and central support teams (marketing, engineering, sales, finance...).
They manage the project from the development brief to handover:
- Monitoring the innovation process
- Conducting risk analysis (SMQCDE)
- Conducting trials in compliance with trial processes
- Leading project meetings
- Document updates
- Supporting the launch/qualification of new formats
- Managing changes (providing meaning, training)
The role holder is aware of their specific responsibility in effectively managing employee safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality aligned with the company's safety, quality, and environmental policy. They conduct activities at all times in accordance with this policy. They must actively contribute to obtaining and maintaining all current and future certifications. They may be involved in line reliability or productivity projects as part of their activities.
Key Missions and Tasks
Ensure the safety of people and property & ensure compliance with safety, product quality, food safety, and environmental regulations:
- Apply safety rules: in line with the law, regulations, and site procedures.
- Analyze risks of changes: organization and new tools.
- Propose improvement plans: ensure the safety of property and personnel in workshops.
- Maintain and develop site certifications.
Lead and coordinate the analysis of client briefs (internal and external):
- Conduct brief analyses: interface between clients and Boué site for industrialization.
- Assess brief feasibility: new products, formats, packaging.
- Analyze risks and project impacts: on existing setups.
- Feasibility studies SQCDME: with internal and external resources.
- Costing and billing of projects: prepare necessary elements.
- Feedback on brief analysis: to requesters within deadlines.
Organize and deploy industrial projects until production and commercialization:
- Structure the project: define methods and operating rules.
- Coordinate project stakeholders: internal (company and group services) and external (suppliers and subcontractors).
- Lead progress meetings: allocate resources according to constraints and risks.
- Conduct industrialization trials: with the R&D department.
- Qualification and acceptance of work: validate results.
- Finalize the industrial project: monitor initial productions if necessary.
- Final reporting: update industrial feasibility documents, return SQCDME experience.
- Create test and control tools: if necessary.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Technical qualification at Bac+2 with 5 years of project management experience in the industry (agri-food, biotechnology, automotive)
- Bac+5 qualification with 2 to 3 years of project management experience in the industry (agri-food, biotechnology, automotive)
Skills:
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Mastery of project management techniques and associated tools
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and hygiene, safety, and environmental regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and motivate a team
- Good writing skills to draft technical notes and project progress reports
