Job Title: Apple Sorter
Reports to: Pre-Processing Supervisor
Location: Nampa, ID Updated: 8/24/2022
This position is for our D shift, which works Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday from 7pm to 7am. There is a $4 differential for this shift.
Job Summary:
As an Apple Sorter for Materne North America, you will be responsible for inspecting, sorting and removing bad apples and other foreign material from production line in an efficient manner according to operational and quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:

Inspect, sort and remove bad apples and foreign material from the production line.

Assist with providing guidance and coaching to temporary associates or others assigned to apple sorting to ensure that work is being performed to standard, including proper defect identification.

Assist with housekeeping, general sanitation and clean-up activities.

Assist with raw material waste removal

Assist with cinnamon weighing and other tasks as needed

Must work a minimum of 12 hours
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours)

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
Education:
-
High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
Experience:
-
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Prior experience working in the food industry is preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
-
Strong attention to detail
-
Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English

provide accurate and timely information to Machine Operators
