JOB SUMMARY:


The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the Human 
Resources department and is responsible for applying HR knowledge to implement best practices to 
support effective business operations, regulatory compliance, and people-centric employee relations 
within a strong, growing company. The HR Coordinator will have specific responsibilities to lead 
processes related to maintaining HRIS, hourly recruiting and onboarding, ensuring effective training, 
employee and policy record management, and administration of other key HR processes, including 
hourly performance evaluations and recognition programs.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Responsible for HR Administration and HR information management
o Accurately maintains the various Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) to ensure 
employee data is updated timely and accurately.
o Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all necessary documents are filed 
appropriately.
o Support HR initiatives and policies by developing and maintaining HR-related 
documents, such as job descriptions, organizational charts, and employee policies 
and/or handbooks.
o Accurately responds to unemployment claims and employment verifications, escalating 
complex cases as required. 
o Maintains HR dashboards and KPI reports and generatesreports and metrics as needed, 
providing data insights to assist in HR decision-making processes.
• Supports Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and Development for factory hourly positions
o Support full cycle recruiting for hourly positions, including job postings, application 
screening, interview scheduling, extending job offers and facilitating background checks.
o Maintain accurate recruiting and hiring records.
o Responsible for planning and coordinating onboarding process for new hourly hires, 
including scheduling presenters, preparing new hire materials, locker assignments,
uniforms and safety shoes, etc. Also, continuously seek to improve and enhance onboarding experience. 
o Track and monitor the training progress for hourly employees and ensure training 
program integrity is maintained. Routinely connect with new hires to monitor employee 
experience.
o Collaborate with factory departments to ensure job qualification checklists are current 
and completed timely and accurately.
o Support administration of hourly employee evaluations, including 30-60-90 and annual 
evaluations to ensure they are completed timely and accurately.
o Function as the site expert for Alchemy, including developing and implementing 
Alchemy training courses as needed.
o Maintain accurate onboarding and training records.• Acts as main point of contact and resource for general administration of Benefits, Workers 
Compensation and Payroll
o Main point of contact for benefit related questions, changes, and enrollment. Assists in 
annual open enrollment period, including leading information sessions with employees, 
distributing materials, communicating benefits changes.
o Supports case management for time away from work programs (i.e. Attendance, FML, 
ADA, STD and LTD), including call-in and occurrence tracking, consistent administration 
of Attendance Policy (i.e. creating/distributing disciplinary letters), managing leaves 
correspondence with employees and communications with manager, as well as 
monitoring leaves through Third-Party Administrator.
o Supports case management for Workers Compensation claims, including coordination 
with Third-Party Administrator, Safety, and Factory leadership. 
o Support payroll processing by verifying time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy, 
and addressing any payroll-related inquiries or discrepancies. 
o Serves as support for corporate payroll and site supervisors, including assistance with 
employee time and attendance (i.e. verifying timecards, reviewing payroll reports 
and/or verifying attendance reporting accuracy), vacation, and payroll related 
questions.
• Supports various Employee Relations programs
o Serve as supportfor employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits, 
providing timely and accurate responses.
o Support employee engagement initiatives, such as coordinating employee recognition 
programs, organizing employee events, and administering employee surveys.
• Collaborates to ensure Compliance and Policy Adherence
o Stays updated on relevant employment laws and regulations, assisting with compliance 
efforts and ensuring HR practices align with legal requirements.
o Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent 
application and adherence.
o Maintains flow of information and communications in and out of the HR department, 
including being responsible for regular review and update of bulletin boards and 
monitors. Maintains accurate records of communications.

REQUIREMENTS: 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


• High school diploma with at least 3 years of experience in administrative work with HR or
related emphasis is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.


SKILLS


• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to maintain 
confidentiality.
• Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred. 
• Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a 
team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate HRIS and talent management systems. Examples 
include ADP, Alchemy, applicant tracking systems and online learning platforms.
• Ability to be resourceful, identify creative solutions to complex challenges and demonstrate 
sound problem solving. 
• Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is preferred in some US factory locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


The physical requirements described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

• Work is performed largely in an office with routine exposure to a plant environment which 
requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours equaling 40 hours per week.
• Provides support to employees within a 24-hour operation and is therefore expected to 
coordinate work schedule to have regular interaction and accessibility to all shifts. 
• Some variation in work hours is expected due to special projects, deadlines, and other matters.
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift 10–20-pound boxes.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


• Occasional travel to other company locations may be required on a limited basis.
