National Accounts Manager - Vending & Vistar

Job Summary:
This position is a specialized national account management role focused on On-Premise channels within the Out of Home business unit. As the National Accounts Manager Vending & Vistar, you will manage the partnership with Vistar, the largest distributor in the vending and micro-market industry, while also directly selling into key accounts within the On-Premise space to drive product distribution and category growth. This dynamic, high-volume B2B role blends strategic negotiation, relationship management, and analytical expertise to grow business revenue and product penetration across On-Premise channels.


Core Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Growth: Manage the strategic partnership with Vistar’s corporate purchasing team and key On-Premise accounts to drive top-line revenue and margin growth.
  • Product Authorization & Listing: Work to get new products authorized in Vistar’s system and stocked at key On-Premise accounts, ensuring national product availability.
  • Direct Selling: Identify and cultivate relationships with key On-Premise customers, presenting Bel’s products and solutions to build distribution and drive sales.
  • Business Planning: Develop, present, and execute annual business plans and category growth strategies with Vistar buyers and On-Premise partners.
  • Data-Driven Selling: Leverage syndicated data as well as internal reports from Vistar and On-Premise customers to identify category opportunities and justify increased distribution.
  • Promotion & Marketing Execution: Collaborate with Vistar and On-Premise accounts on national promotions, new product launches, and marketing initiatives to accelerate sales velocity.
  • Broker Management: Provide leadership, set goals, and conduct performance reviews for third-party brokers focused on On-Premise channels.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with marketing, supply chain, and operations teams to align customer needs with Bel’s go-to-market strategies.
  • Relationship Development: Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with Vistar decision-makers, key On-Premise accounts, and broker to ensure sustained partnerships and uncover additional business opportunities.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Degree and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in national account management or distribution sales, with direct experience selling into On-Premise accounts or micro-market industries.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and joint business planning with distributors and key accounts.

Specific Competencies

  • Results-oriented with strong business acumen and the ability to drive revenue growth across multiple channels.
  • Expertise in direct selling and relationship building with On-Premise customers and distributors specifically Vistar & Vending Accounts. Strong existing connections within the industry.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the ability to translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage brokers and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized, with strong time management skills and a disciplined approach to achieving sales goals.

Systems Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience using syndicated data tools such as Nielsen, IRI, or comparable platforms.

Performance Expectations

  • Consistently demonstrate excellence in account management, direct selling, business planning, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability in relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Build and sustain strong cross-functional and customer relationships to accomplish business objectives.

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily remote, with travel required up to 40 percent of the time for customer meetings, trade shows, and business reviews.

Total Rewards

  • Base Salary: $150,000 - $170,000
  • Bonus Opportunity: 30%
