Job Purpose:
The Accounting Lead - Record-to-Report (R2R) is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting processes. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial records while implementing best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the R2R function. The individual also plays a vital role in ensuring internal controls and supporting key stakeholders across departments.
Main Accountabilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for five legal entities, following IFRS.
- Submit consolidated financial reports using BPC RIO2 and BW reporting tools.
- Update and analyze internal financial statements, FX results, and working capital monthly.
- Forecast working capital needs and support FP&A analysis.
- Oversee fixed assets management, including registration, tagging, depreciation, and disposal.
- Maintain general ledger integrity, managing manual entries and inter-company reconciliations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accurate account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations.
- Manage audits, apply IFRS 16, calculate group royalties, and allocate costs correctly.
- Act as main contact for stakeholders and foster cross-functional teamwork.
Qualification & Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting & Financial close processes.
- Proven experience managing multiple legal entities, preferably in a Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, Local GAAP).
- Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, fixed assets management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork mindset.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and its financial reporting tools BPC, BW
