Job Description Summary
Join the team at Bel! As a Sr. Corporate Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the company’s financial strength and growth. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of core accounting and reporting activities, collaborate with dedicated colleagues across the US and Canada, and help shape our financial processes. In this role, you will lead the monthly accounting close, oversee the general ledger, and ensure the accuracy of our financial statements through thorough reconciliation and analysis. You’ll also work closely with both internal and external partners, supporting audits, tax projects, and compliance with IFRS, local, and group policies. Beyond core accounting duties, you’ll be an important contributor to process improvements and a valued member of our passionate Finance team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Close & General Ledger Management
- Perform periodic closing activities, including preparing and posting reclassifications, accruals, and other general ledger entries in SAP to ensure financial statement accuracy.
- Lead the resolution of BPC (EPM) reporting issues and enter/review financial statement details in BPC to assist in the monthly reporting package.
- Prepare reconciliations and monthly reports, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Conduct detailed review and analysis of general ledger accounts, challenging financial posting data as appropriate.
Intercompany, Reconciliation & Banking
- Reconcile and lead the monthly intercompany process with other subsidiaries, investigating and resolving any differences in a timely manner.
- Oversee the timely and accurate review of weekly banking activity.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Liaison
- Act as an accounting liaison between various departments to support the month-end close, provide valuable reporting, and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
- Assist with fixed assets, leases, and working capital or free cash flow deliverables.
Compliance
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities promptly.
- Compile data and workpapers needed for annual audit, tax, and compliance deliverables.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting quality or process efficiencies.
- Lead or assist in the implementation of process improvements identified.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum degree and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience with SAP and BPC (or similar ERP systems) preferred
- Background in manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) is an asset
- Financial audit experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong computer literacy and ease navigating various software tools
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a keen eye for identifying and analyzing discrepancies
- Excellent time management skills; able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing workflows, priorities, and communication styles while collaborating with both internal and external partners
- Demonstrates professionalism, credibility, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Working Conditions
Work is performed largely in a hybrid office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional travel may be required.

Total Rewards
- Base Salary: $90,000 – $105,000
- Bonus Opportunity: 10%
