About the Role:
The Marketing Manager is a key leadership role, with high visibility and end-to-end responsibility for the Babybel and The Laughing Cow brands in the UK. You will manage a team of three (including two direct reports), driving brand growth, market share, and engagement through strategic brand planning and impactful execution. You will work closely with local, cluster, and global teams, bringing the Bel spirit to life across all consumer touchpoints.
This position will report directly into the Cluster Marketing Director, Northern Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic planning and implementation of both 3 year and annual marketing plans for Babybel and The Laughing Cow.
- Coach and develop a high-performing, engaged team of three, with direct line management of two marketing professionals.
- Drive brand equity growth, market share, and brand profitability through consumer-centric, insight-led strategies and activation.
- Influence and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in the UK, the wider cluster, and with global brand owners to ensure effective communication and execution of key initiatives.
- Act as a brand champion, ensuring consistency in positioning and messaging across all channels.
- Monitor and analyse brand and market performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to maximize ROI.
- Lead campaign launches, identify, develop & execute NPD opportunities, and support trade marketing initiatives in alignment with local and global teams.
- Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice sharing across the team and business.
Skills/Experience & Candidate Specification:
- Significant experience (6+ years) in FMCG brand marketing (ideally with dairy/food/ healthy snacking brands).
- Proven, expert brand builder with consumer behaviour obsession!
- Strong people leadership (2+ years) and team coaching experience.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical, planning, and commercial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally at local, cluster, and global levels.
- Experience in leading brand teams and launching integrated, multi-channel campaigns that cut through and shift the dial.
- Agile and proactive, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Passionate about consumer brands and able to inspire teams.
