Engineering Project Manager – France / Portugal

 

MAIN MISSIONS

In line with the industrial policy determined by the Group, the Engineering Project Manager will lead all engineering projects within their activity scope (France / Portugal) while respecting the Cost / Quality / Time / Safety / Environment standards.

You will be attached to the Corporate Engineering teams.

Your primary missions will include:

Studies / Designs / Implementation

Challenge the client’s needs:

  • Conduct or commission design studies to propose costed solutions for carrying out engineering projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation and draft functional specifications.
  • Receive and analyze bids.
  • Coordinate execution.
  • Anticipate risks that may arise during all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with process standards.

Organization / Planning

  • Structure projects (methods, management tools…) and define rules of operation to execute work under optimal safety, quality, and cost conditions.
  • Ensure coordination between the stakeholders involved (suppliers, clients…).
  • Organize and lead meetings with project stakeholders according to project phases to make decisions and allocate resources.
  • Define objectives and deadlines for task completion.
  • Ensure the technical solution, budget, and project deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate the execution of work by all contractors with the support of site technical teams (internal or external).
  • Ensure the transfer of equipment ownership to the production & maintenance service.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to factories.
  • Participate in progress plans/design reviews with suppliers and factories (continuous improvement).

PROFILE

With an engineering background, you have at least 5 years of professional experience in process engineering within an operational plant, an engineering company, or a design office.

Proficiency in French and English is mandatory.

Knowledge of the rules and quality standards of an agri-food environment would be an advantage.
