MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
We are recruiting, within the Group Purchasing Department, a Group Energy Purchasing Manager (M/F/X).
Reporting to the department director, you will be responsible for the definition, deployment, and execution of the energy purchasing strategy for Bel Group (Gas, Electricity, Biomass Wood Pellets).
You will be the Group's primary contact for all matters relating to energy procurement.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Deployment of Energy Purchasing Strategy
- Define, adapt, and deploy the Energy Purchasing strategy for each subsidiary in line with Bel Group’s objectives.
- Support subsidiary buyers in operational implementation: budget management, hedging policy, supplier selection.
- Actively monitor the energy markets and make recommendations for positioning.
- Maintain robust group reporting: hedging ratio, performance of positions, alignment of hedging with the market.
- Monitor local regulations and assess their impacts.
- Optimize transport and distribution contracts in coordination with subsidiaries.
- Animate the Energy Purchasing community (meetings, monitoring, market analysis).
- Ensure the availability of complete and up-to-date group documentation.
Operational Management of Energy Purchasing for France (Bel & MOM)
- Lead tenders for contract renewals.
- Negotiate contractual terms and secure purchasing positions in line with internal policies.
- Optimize purchasing conditions (transport, TURPE, taxes, taxation).
- Build the budget, provide estimates, and ensure proper contractual application (prices, invoices, payment terms).
Steering of the Group Energy Budgeting Process
- Structure and animate the energy budgeting process.
- Consolidate assumptions by country and prepare the group presentation.
Deployment of the Group’s Energy Mix Greening Strategy
- Manage the decarbonization strategy defined jointly by the Purchasing Department and the Operations Department.
- Define and execute the purchasing strategy for Energy Attribute Certificates (EAC): sourcing, tenders, certificate verification, centralization, hedging policy.
- Explore PPAs (Morocco, USA).
Monitoring of Renewable Energy Production Assets
- Oversee biomass contracts: monitor invoicing, outputs, mix, prices, and impacts on fossil fuel consumption.
- Manage contract renewals and conduct regular reviews.
Strategic Energy Monitoring & External Representation
- Ensure group monitoring on:
- grey and renewable energies (Solar, Wind, Hydro, Hydrogen, Methanation, Geothermal…),
- greening instruments and government programs,
- regulatory developments (CEE, ADEME, taxes…).
- Participate in trade shows and conferences and represent Bel at CLEEE.
- Monitor digital tools for energy purchasing management.
Contribution to Consumption Reduction and Optimization Programs
- Participate in working groups.
- Propose benchmarks and involve external experts (suppliers, consultancies).
- Assess impacts on contracts and consumption.
PROFILE
- Higher education (Master's degree, equivalent to Bac+5), such as engineering, purchasing management, or a professional equivalent complemented by specialized training in purchasing or commercial subjects.
- You have at least 5 years of previous experience as an energy buyer or on the futures markets at a group level.
- You have a good knowledge of energy markets in the industry.
- You are comfortable with technical topics and have some legal knowledge.
- You have strong numerical logic, analytical, and synthesis skills.
- You have a very good level of English.
- You are recognized for your leadership, analytical skills, and strength of conviction.
