LOCATION AND DATE
Open-ended contract from July 2025
Position within the Bel Group's Research, Innovation and Development team.
Position ideally based in Suresnes or Vendôme, or in outlying areas close to the Sablé or Evron plants.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The pack transfo developer’s mission is to identify, test, and open new technological routes and materials for the Group, meeting environmental expectations and consumer consumption changes, in compliance with the packaging CSR policy and regulations.
- Detect and analyse material innovations and changes in consumption usages that will revolutionize our packaging offering.
- Manage innovation projects always in connection with teams in platforms, local teams in factories, and marketing teams.
- Design, prioritize, and decide on the most relevant technical solutions for the project, taking into account:
- The eco-design approach defined by the Bel Group
- Each brand's identity and user/consumer experiences
- Constraints and opportunities related to equipment, in collaboration with internal/external partners (engineering, factories, packaging suppliers, packaging machinery, subcontractors, etc.)
- Innovation pipeline and Time to Market for each project
- Mobilize expertise (packaging, engineering, quality, regulations, CSR, procurement) and resources (technical, human and financial) needs to achieve the pursued objectives with the goal of accelerating development timelines.
- Design and organize test plans and monitor their implementation on the ground (Bel factories or subcontractors).
- Define test proofs and suitable control methods to test the envisioned technical solutions.
PROFILE
Packaging engineer or equivalent.
Ideally, you have at least 5 years' experience in the agri-food, pharmaceutical or cosmetics sector, in a company recognized for its marketing and technical creativity.
HARD SKILLS
- High general technical level and good knowledge in packaging development in the food industry, with experience in product/packaging interaction.
- Proven problem-solving experience.
- Project management, knowledge of associated tools, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Ability to be visionary and demonstrate concrete creativity, experience in implementing "user-centric" methodologies like design thinking.
- Technical English spoken and written to interact in an international environment.
SOFT SKILLS
- Creativity, curiosity, and innovative spirit.
- Ability to understand strategic issues and challenge them, to be a real source of proposals.
- Willingness to dare, agility, and pragmatism.
- Natural teamwork, ability to establish and maintain trusting relationships with colleagues and partners, internally and externally. Leadership.
Frequent travel required, to Group plants or subcontractors during industrial implementation phases.
