Mission and main objectives:                                                                                 

"The Principal Enterprise Architect under general direction of the Chief Enterprise Architect will be responsible for advising on the strategy & evolution of Business Solutions Architectures for specific Business Domains and will evaluate technology innovation initiatives in the support of these .

 

The Enteprise Architect will be involved in Bel's Digital Transformation programs and will propose new architecture guidelines, standards, solution blueprints and IT discovery & collaboration processes to ensure that innovation & solution delivery projects follow and comply with the overall architecture blueprint & strategy of Bel.

 

He/She will also facilitate the Design Authority activities for all IT delivery programmes and projects and will constantly innovate the architecture blueprint."                                                                                   

                                                                                             

Main tasks and responsibilities:                                                                                            

"The Enterprise Architect will shape specific Domain Application Strategy and design and/or lead Solution Architectures aligned to business requirements and architecture guidelines for these Domains. He/She will be responsible for partnering with key roles (e.g. Domain Leads, Application Business & Product Owners, Project managers, etc..) to propose & create solutions that are aligned to architecture standards and principles.

 

'The Architect will also support (deputy) the Chief Enterprise Architect in the management of the Architecture Innovation & Governance processes and related activities ensuring the projects delivered within Bel IT are aligned to business ambitions and architecture guidelines of the Enterprise Architecture. He/She will also drive the proper adoption of technological and architectural innovation.

 

He/She will:

• Provide subject matter expertise & design leadership for the analysis, design and implementation of business processes and solutions in the appointed domains and ensure a single point of contact for domain specific technologies in the Architecture team.

• Communicate and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to inform and advise them of architecture activities and ensure that architecture requirements and recommendations are adhered to

• Perform and/or review detailed impact analysis on existing processes & tools and propose solution alternatives as necessary

• Perform architecture analysis of system use cases & flows of the solution and coordinate and support the integration solution architecture & design with the different solution stakeholders & application experts

• Propose and create solution blueprints to ensure the enterprise architecture is well documented

• Coordinate with the wider business functions and data & technology architecture practices to obtain and develop architecture guidelines and common practices and achieve a balance between user needs, enterprise requirements and technology constraints

• Develop, maintain and communicate architecture roadmaps & transition architectures and solution portfolios

• Foster and drive the identification and introduction of innovative technologies and solutions by coordinating the assessment of functional & technical capabilities of emerging technology vendors & products and identifying the eco-system of new technology providers

• Launch and direct Proof of Concepts for possible Technology innovations

• Identify architecture risks & concerns and propose mitigation plans

• Understand how main business drivers may impact solution or business domain. Assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.

• Define, promote and maintain the EA processes, outcomes and results to the Architecture function; this includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA

• Support the Application Portfolio analysis activities

 

"Background and experience (years):                                                                   

"At least 5 to 10 years in Architecture and/or IT roles with experience in Enteprise Architecture & Governance or past experiences in implementing and defining solution architectures in major transformation projects

 

• Proven experience in identifying innovative solutions and making them real

•  Proven experience of having acted as principal architect on at least one major Transformation program related to ERP, SCM, Integration or Digital, reinforced by having delivered at least 2/3 projects

• Experience of working through complex architectural layers (Business, Data, Application, and Technology)

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and business environments

• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and/or Innovation Management tools and processes

 

• Beneficial: Good knowledge of ERP/SCM technologies and processes in the business context of consumer products.

• Beneficial: Experience in Retail, Manufacturing or/and (Fast) Consumer Goods Industry

Min. education: University degree in computer science, information systems, systems analysis or other related field.
