Supply Chain Flex - C Crew - $26.07/hr (INTERNAL ONLY)
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Flex will be responsible for working any position within the Supply Chain department, including VIF Operator, Material Handler (Yard, Yard/Switcher Truck, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving…etc.). They will be the primary backup for any positions needing filled on their assigned shift and will rotate between each of the positions above on a consistent basis.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Meet or able to meet the following qualifications (minimum), and be able to perform each job so that they are included on backup coverage lists for each position:
- Level 1 Material Handler
- Level 1 VIF Operator
- Maintain Licensure on: Stand-Up Fork-Lift, Yard Switcher Truck
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Clean and maintain orderly work area and troubleshoot basic maintenance of equipment
- Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and forklifts
- Timely movement of all materials within your designated location and tracking the movement within the computerized systems to ensure proper tracking and inventory
- Operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging and finished product and other materials from one location to another
- Use a computer and company systems to track all material movement transactions both incoming and outgoing
- Observe all GMP, Food Safety, and Employee Safety Requirements
- Load 53 foot trailers with a lift truck
- Drive and move 53 foot trailers with a Yard Truck
- Recognize shortages of materials in the system and order materials for next shift
- Follow detailed processes for assigned work to ensure proper completion
- Run basic reports in VIF:
- SCN01
- TFCHRONO
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION
- H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred
- Technical or Trade School Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Previous food manufacturing experience is highly desired.
- Prior experience forklift/material handling experience in a manufacturing environment
SKILLS
- Must be able to understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
- Must be able to measure and understand tare weight.
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry and experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic Math skills
- Competency with weights and measures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to work 12 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to repeatedly get on and off a forklift safely.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs multiple times per shift
- Must be able to work in cold temperature environments when wearing proper attire.
