Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Team Lead will be responsible for all tactical management of the Supply Chain Areas on the shift assigned. The lead is responsible for running their area/workshop, while also providing guidance to other operators in the other areas of the department and interacting with the production staff and leadership. The lead can make decisions concerning staffing coverage, equipment-related issues, inventory management, incident investigation, reporting and response. The lead is the first point of contact for all Supply Chain business and has the authority to act on behalf of the Supply Chain leadership team in most situations that arise.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Meet or able to meet VIF Ops level 2 Qualifications (minimum)
- First point of contact for Supply Chain related topics on assigned shift
- Solicit coverage for call ins
- Work off a specific list and then reaches out to supervisor if unable to secure coverage
- Troubleshoot lost materials (location-based management) and recommend best course of action
- Determine needs for delivery schedule changes to and from the warehouse
- Perform investigations and document near-miss and incident reporting
- Work with production supervisor to verify case labels for hand stacking
- Perform inventories for shutdown/startup activities as needed (month and week closures)
- Assist in monthly equipment audits (as needed)
- Generate and deliver all maintenance requests that arrive on off shifts
- Heavy Equipment & Infrastructure (Warehouse, Yard, and EOL)
- Participate in daily shift hand offs with production team and communicate a shift letter daily to supply chain management.
- Manage Yard Activities on off shift as needed
- Apple Blend Management
- Apple Inventory Management
- Trash Flow
- Oversee special projects that take place on third shift
- Responsible for verifying Crusher Deliveries are completed accurately and on time each week.
- Complete 2 BBS observations bi-monthly
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
- Shift letter adherence (100%)
- 100% Accurate shutdown inventories (when performed)
- No uncaptured/uncorrected errors in crusher deliveries
- 100% adherence to BBD cadence
