Procurement Compliance Manager

The Procurement Compliance Manager is a member of the North America Procurement Operations Team. Your main responsibility is to ensure procurement team compliance with internal Bel policies, industry standards, and procurement best practices. You will promote compliance by 1) communicating directly with vendors and internal cross-functional parters, 2) managing KPI data, and 3) educating and training stakeholders.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Policy expertise: Serve as subject matter expert for procurement aspects of Bel policies governing: procurement practices, supplier quality, legal compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility commitments.
  • Defect management: Own supplier communication regarding material defects: Coordinate strategy with buyers. Coordinate root cause analysis conversations with quality. Coordinate claims prep and timely recovery.
  • Qualification: Coordinate sample request process: Liaise between buyer, supplier, R&D, regulatory, collect and share Supplier Quality Food Safety documentation (specification form, Certificate of Analysis, risk assessment, etc).
  • Documentation:
    • Collect food safety qualification documentation, coordinate assessment with quality and regulatory, maintain document repositories, and monitor/update expired documentation.
    • Maintain and track legal document repository (contracts, non-disclosure agreements, etc). Work with legal team to develop/improve legal templates.
    • Collect and maintain documentation related to USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) compliance for finished good export to Canada.
  • Performance: Coordinate and/or track supplier audits, supplier evaluations and Corporate Social Responsibility metrics. Support category leads for business & supplier performance reviews and reporting.
  • Training: Write process instructions to support adherence to policy. Lead and track training sessions for procurement and cross-functional teams.
  • Other: Participate actively in the purchasing community.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the employee may be assigned other duties as needed to support the needs of the department and organization

 

Minimum degree and experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement Management, Business Administration, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • Equivalent of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Preferred experience with SAP, PowerBI,or equivalent

Physical requirements & Working Conditions: Work is performed in hybrid office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours a week.  At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns.  This position requires travel approximately 25% of time.

 

Total Rewards

  • Range Base Salary: $80,000k - $115,000k 
  • Bonus opportunity: 12%
