Job Description Summary
As a Talent Management and Acquisition Intern at Bel, you’ll support the Talent team with a broad range of responsibilities across the entire recruitment life cycle. This hands-on role provides the opportunity to coordinate processes, engage with candidates and hiring managers, and participate in diverse TA projects—including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, metrics & analytics, and more. You’ll also gain exposure to talent development and management, while developing core HR skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Shadow a full-lifecycle Talent Acquisition (TA) team member to learn how to recruit and hire successfully.
- Assist with the management of all aspects of the recruitment process: posting jobs, reviewing applications, scheduling candidates, participating in interviews, and assisting with drafting offers.
- Support streamlined candidate interview coordination, ensuring an excellent candidate experience and high customer service standards.
- Participate in intake, interviews, and debrief meetings with hiring teams.
- Assist the lead recruiter with administrative and onboarding tasks throughout the recruiting workflow.
- Learn and use Talent Acquisition systems SAP SuccessFactors, LinkedIn, Job Target and Indeed. etc.
- Assist with related projects to attract and retain talent.
- Track recruitment metrics and analytics, supporting data-driven improvements.
- Learn to build creative sourcing strategies and strong pipelines for a variety of roles.
- Answer questions related to HR matters such as benefits, payroll, and policies (with guidance).
- Perform other administrative duties or special projects in TA, Talent Development, and Talent Management as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, IO Psychology, or a related field.
- Customer-first orientation with excellent presentation and strong organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Committed to confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Innovative, proactive, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High interpersonal skills—able to quickly build rapport and communicate with employees at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using or exposure to applicant tracking system such as SuccessFactors, preferred.
- Flexibility to work hybrid during normal business hours in Chicago office up to 30 hours per week.
Working Conditions
Work is performed largely in a hybrid office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Occasional business travel may be required.
