Job Description Summary
The Maintenance Planner helps manage the administrative functions related to the maintenance department including parts inventory, invoicing, receiving and maintaining reports. This position also plans/coordinates maintenance events in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements and manages the Preventative Maintenance Program and the Work Order Program.
- Coordinates Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) with Maintenance Leads, ensuring parts are available for each WO/PM, and assists with WO/PM planning as needed.
- Tracks and reports out on KPI’s/maintenance metrics in PCS meetings.
- Works in SAP and serves as a training resource by assisting maintenance technicians.
- Maintains inspection report files for various outside agencies.
- Coordinates outside contractors for repairs/outside services.
- Acts as a backup for the Maintenance Coordinator.
- All other duties as assigned.
Safety, Environmental and Quality
- Follows all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
- Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.
- Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
- Follow all food safety procedures.
- Maintains a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.
- Detects potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.
Qualifications and Competencies
- High school diploma is required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 3 years of experience of administrative experience is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- SAP experience is a plus.

Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours per week. There could be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, and other concerns. Overtime and occasional holiday hours may be required. Employee is required to sit in front of a computer for several hours a day. Occasional lifting may be required. All Safety and Quality guidelines must be adhered to when working in the plant.
